Stephanie Stricklands award-winning hypertext poem, True North, is published by Eastgate Systems and was presented at the 1999 Technology Platforms for 21st Century Literature conference at Brown University; at the AM98 Art and Mathematics Conference, UC Berkeley; and at the 1998 MLA in San Francisco.

Awarded both the Ernest Sandeen Poetry Prize and the Alice Fay di Castagnola Award from the Poetry Society of America, a print version of True North is published by the University of Notre Dame Press. Strickland is also the author of The Red Virgin: A Poem of Simone Weil, awarded the Brittingham Prize from the University of Wisconsin Press, and Give the Body Back, University of Missouri Press. She edited the collection Whats Become of Eden: Poems of Family at Century's End, Slapering Hol Press. Her essays on digital art appear in the Electronic Book Review. One of them, "Seven League Boots," is itself a hypertext.
